After a 4 day photo shoot holiday of some Eastern Ontario places, we returned with more than 500 shots to work with. Below are just a few designs of trivets and cards we are working on for upcoming shows. We still have photos of Kingston, Belleville, Prescott, Picton and Trenton to work with to finish designing. Many folks have asked if we had these towns in our more than 160 collection. It was time to go there and capture their beauty. It's always alot of walking with Al going one way & I the other. When we get home we each get to see the other side of the towns in our photos, it's like revisiting them when we design the cards and trivets. It truly is a passion for us to do this. We love to share our memories of the trips.
For myself I found myself doing pen and ink and watercolour artwerkz from many of our photos. It's quite the challenge, but very enjoyable.

Summer 2013
We just finished 3 outdoor shows in a row in July , St.Catharines, Niagara Falls and Fonthill. They were mostly fine art shows (Birgie Artwerkz), so much of the Albirg creations were not shown at 2 of them .The SCAA Art in the Park at Montebello Park, St. Catharines allowed Albirg creations as well as samples of our custom made work. Thank you to the 2 artists who ordered coasters and trivets of their art from us. As well Thank you to everyone who dropped by at all our shows. It sure was hot July, somehow we managed to get through it without a hitch.
Aug. 3 & Aug. 4 we are at the Vale Health and Wellness Complex in Port Colborne for a 2 day Indoor Craft Show. This is a new facility and there is a shuttle bus stop here for those going to the harbour for all the Canal Day activities. This Craft Show is a fundraiser for the Optimist Club of Port Colborne.
We are all excited about setting up tonite at this new place, brighter and cooler. Lots of new items to share.
Hope you'll come in and see all the wonderful Artisan's works?
We'll be at Marshville Heritage Festival Labour Day Weekend in the Arena spot A-11. That's always a wonderful show where we need to get dressed up in old fashioned outfits.

As our first craft show of the year is fast approaching, we are so excited to partake once again at Huttonville Public School Mar. 23 & 24th. For the last 10 years we have helped support the Huttonville Lion's Club by renting spaces at the school twice a year. The organizers do a marvelous job in setting up this venue. Thank you so much for all you do!
Every classroom and gym is occupied with Crafters and Antique Vendors all anxious to share their wares. You never know what you're going to find.
We have met so many wonderful folks from all over the area especially Brampton, Georgetown, Caledon and Milton. It's always a treat to see all those familiar faces twice a year. Thank you for taking the time to see what we do! It truly is our passion to create our Albirg creations

Happy New Year everyone! It's now the middle of January, thus far we have had a very mild winter her in the "Banana Belt" of Niagara. Hopefully we will not have too much snow.
January is the month where we take a good look back at our business year and make plans for the year to come. Since most of the Craft &Art Shows we partake in are run by volunteers we realize that it takes time to get the planning done.
Last year our year began with a winter of Al and Birgie custom making orders for the Niagara Parks Commission, items which found homes in the Butterfly Conservatory Gift Shop and Table Rock in Niagara Falls. What an honour that is! We are so grateful. Dreams do come true.Thank you to everyone who purchases our items.
At the end of March 2012 our first craft show began in Huttonville for the Lions Club. This show takes place in a public school in the small town of Huttonville just north of Streetsville off of Mississauga Road on Embellton Side Road, West of Brampton, East of Milton and South of Caledon and Georgetown. Every room, gym and halls are wall to wall crafters and artisans as well 1 gym and rooms with Antique dealers .There is a lunchroom as well as home cooking and baking available. It's a wonderful show , very well attended. Always a joy for us to show and sell our wares here. We thank everyone for making our visits here some of the best over the last nine years.
This year we will be in Huttonville March 23 and 24th and November 23 and 24th. We are busily creating new product for this show as we speak.
In April 2012 Birgie's Artwerkz and Pressed Flower Work found homes in The Laura Secord Homestead in Queenston, Niagara Glen and The Floral Show House in Niagara via group submissions through the Parkway Artist Guild for the Niagara Parks Commission. It was so nice to see many of my pieces sell, inspiring me to get cracking and create new pieces of art for the upcoming year.
As I write I am in the process of working on new art Birgie Artwerkz and well as new pressed flower works. I encourage anyone who has any interest in art to come to a PAG meeting which is held at the Niagara School of Horticulture on the Niagara Parkway. Demonstrations and Workshops are offered by many professional artists. Every meeting is a learning and an inspiring experience for me personally. Thank you PAG volunteers and the Niagara Parks for giving us artists so many opportunities to market our wares.
